"Arcadia Herba" started its business in the beginning of 1997 as a Bulgarian-German company. At the moment it processes and packs more than 40 kinds of monoherb products and 6 kinds of herb mixtures for the Bulgarian pharmaceutical distribution network, which represents about 15% of the pharmaceutical herb market. The company also works with European partners mainly in the field of primary processing of medicinal and kitchen herbs. 

"Arcadia Herba" is the leader in the business of collecting, processing, packaging and exporting herbs from Bulgaria. The herbs are collected in the ecologically clean mountains of Rhodopy (the mountain of the famous Orpheus from the Greek mythology), Stara Planina, Rila and Strandja. The processing and packing is according to European community standards. 

The company uses modern equipment for its business: German machines "Winicker & Lieber" (with productivity of 800 kg per day) for cutting plants; German sifting machine "Fux" used for separation and dust-catching of herbs; hammer- and mill-knives; Italian packing machines "Opem" that allow small-size packing (?00gr). Italian evaporators and a gas chamber are also available. If you are interested, we can carry out a microbiological processing of the cut plants by means of the existing bacteriological line. 

We can provide processed to a different extent medicinal and kitchen plants. They can be packed in three-layer paper bags of 6-12 kg depending on the sort of the herbs. 

The herb exchange that has been created more than a year ago by our company may be useful to your business. It disposes of a database including over 200 herb-collecting companies in Bulgaria and their available quantities of medicinal herbs.
